I'm about to get a new rig and I've decided on a few parts:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Socket LGA775, 3 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB, 6MB L2 Cache, 45nm (Retail Box) (BX80570E8400)

    OCZ (OCZ2RPR800C44GK) Reaper 4GB DDR2 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL 4-4-4-15 Memory Kit

Asus ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB (900Mhz) GDDR5 Dual DVI Display PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card

OCZ GameXStream 600W Power Supply - NVIDIA SLI-Ready, Active PFC, 120mm LED Fan (OCZ600GXSSLI)

Western Digital Caviar (WD2500AAKS) 250GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Buffer (OEM) x2 in raid

    SATA Optical DVD-R RW

So the question is which motherboard is better? MSI P45 Platinum or Asus P5Q-E. Every review I've read so far seems to have very different opinion on both.

The ram choice wasn't really a well researched one, just thought the timing and price was pretty attractive. I don't even know if the ram is compatible with the board. Suggestions welcome.

Power Supply - not sure 600 is enough esp if I want to OC or upgrade to crossfire later.

Floppy - My current MSI require a raid driver at xp install, i'm not sure I will need to do so with this setup.

If I do OC this rig, what kinda performance can expect? I'm pretty sure on this processor. I'm not really looking for a Quad or 7xxx, but if you can convince they are better, I'm all ears.

    Thanks in advance.
