MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr III bios to 770 gtx for gpuboost 2.0 is worth it? thanks
Best to try and see i guess, if the newer bios lets you OC higher then i'm in.
If you are going to pay to upgrade then no.Wait for the end of the year.
Ah you want to go 770 from 680? hell no!
^^^vga bios are free,
op if you have a spare card to reflash your 680 go ahead, I am waiting for the 770 ftw 4gb then I will give it a shot
No he's not buying a new card, he's thinking about trying a gtx 770 bios.
yes are 770 bios more refine and compatible to 680?
I would say to do it only if your 680 is already able to sustain the core and mem speeds of a stock 770.
dunno try it out for yourself, is your 680 capable of 7ghz on the rams?
I`m using a Asus DirectCU II OC 770 bios in my sli and it is working just fine.I also did it just for the GpuBoost 2.0,and I can overclock the cardz higher but is summer,to much heat...
any tips to check fine tune memory?, thanks
What bios u used to flash? cause when i tried the GPU won't boot, aka bad bios...
770 bios can it be edited to match 680 tw 2 oc edition speed
I`ve used the Asus 770 bios: 80.04.B4.00.05,but if I use some MSI 770 bios then the card don`t boot,so I guees that u need to see what 770 bios is good for u card.
To fine tune memory I`m using Kepler BIOS Tweaker v1.25,but it depends on how good u card is and how high or low u can overclock u memz;
but u can tune the 770 bios with Kepler bios tweaker and work u way up with a stable mem setting.
TBH if your 680 is already boosting to around 1300 on the core and the memory is capable of 7000Mhz or higher I wouldn't bother with a 770 bios.
You arn't going to gain alot (if anything at all) from a 680 at these clocks by going to a 770 Bios.
^^ I didn`t do it for the clocks,I did it for the GpuBoost 2.0.
yes, the gpu boost 2.0, iam not too worried about 7gh g5 mem because of 256 bit, but for the thermal throttle, its seems stutter beacuse of heat, but eccology here are warm n sunny and for some reason setting fans @ 75% makes smooth but too noisy
