Hi guys im looking for a gaming gpu. I was thinking about buying evga gtx 1070 ftw on amazon.de but saw a huge discount on amazon.it for msi armor 1080 which is 480 €. Same price with evga ftw 1070 give or take. Some user comments suggest that msi armor's cooling isnt as good as evga's so im doubtful about that.
Which one should i buy for gaming ? Thx for reading :)

Is the armour the one that's got absolutely shocking cooling? Id read up about that one first i may be wrong but i think that card gets very very hot

Get a stock 1080 and slap AIO on top of it.

I read a comment of armor owner from redditt and he says his card never reached 70+ degrees.

I would go with the 1080 every time. A 1080 at stock, or even slightly downclocked, is going to be better than any 1070 you can get. That GN video shows that the cooler can't handle a 1080Ti, but it should be okay for a stock clocked 1080 with a custom fan curve.

Thx for comments guys but it turns out that amazon italy wont ship to where i live in turkey. Feels bad missing out such a big opportunity. Gonna have to buy 1070.

That's a 1080Ti it uses about 90W more power over a 1080. The armor cooler worked okay on a 1070 it should be adequate for a 1080.

Does not matter what manufacturer it is at the end of the day its nVidia GPU that does the job. Of course 1080 any day, You can keep it at stock too. No need to overclock the beast youll just get paper results. gl

This for any one deciding to get the msi armor 1080. Never had the temp push over 70C even during hot summer days on stock cooling. This from gaming on 1080p. For the price youre paying for this tech, you pretty sure bet they use darn good stock cooling. And of course my pc case is well ventilated. My card is the OC edition, so it's slightly OC'ed out of the box.

Also is silent AF under load. Not sure about the 1080ti on this, never used one.

Never had an issue with a 1070 with armor cooling in secondary rig, I'd choose it any day over my founders edition vapor chamber on my 1080 for sure.
