EK and MSI have always worked together to release an X670E-based motherboard that comes with a Quantum-design monoblock. This time, only a certain number of copies will be made.... MSI Announces Limited Edition MPG X670E Carbon EK-X Motherboard
this would be so up my alley if it was reasonably (i.e. under $600) priced. but as an old hand i know it's not. even though it's not "ACE" or "Godlike", this is a halo
"Limited Edition" +150€ "Carbon" +50€ having an "X" in it's name +50€ having a monoblock +150€ being a "X670E" board +100€ Did I miss anything here?
I have the MPG z590 Carbon EK and it is nice. I got it on sale for $260 last year. This one is very nice looking. I can tell you the EK blocks work great. They are expensive by themselves, but I basically got mine for free. Cools my 5.4ghx 11900kf at almost 300watts in the low 70's for max temps. Don't let ppl sway you that water cooling doesn't work well.
If the chip won't OC I would stay with intel, or you can use the water cooling to stay away from 100c on the cores.
oooh interesting maybe my ace being delayed was a sign ? (luckily it's a good webshop you can cancel and be refunded or credited instantly with no human interaction as long as the product isn't shipped) that said....while vrm+cpu cooling works fine if your thermal paste didn't work out, removing the large block is a pain because of all the pads that move, tear apart etc... I swore I wouldn't rebuy one but so tempted...I'm weak
