Do you possibly have another monitoring software running that could interfere and possibly cause some problems?

ive just uninstalled the Asus AI suite and have tried using AB to monitor again.. well see how this gets on.

to be honest im fed up with the AI suite giving me false warnings so if this fixes the AB problem it wont be any great loss

Hi, I have a problem with msi afterburner, when I use it in SLi games stopped working... When I close the msi AB or disable SLI everything works fine, I can play for hours without any problem. Anyone has this problem? Know any solution?

    My Pc:
    Windows 7 64bit
    Asrock formula OC z77
    i7 3770k
    16gb ram

Looks like you've enabled "Show in Logitech keyboard LCD display" monitoring mode for some graphs on the system with no Logitech keyboard. There is known resource leak in new Logitech API under such conditions.

Yeah I'm talking about drivers mapping system memory into the GPU address space, which is supported in DX11.2.
I don't mean holding a copy of the data in RAM... :)

I'm curious as it seems the amount of system memory reserved in DX11 far exceeds what these games require, as if the driver says - "here's what's available to you", and the app says "hey thanks - I'll just take the whole lot whether I need it or not" which is then passed on to WMM.

Either that or the driver reserves space according to available dedicated VRAM.
This is what I suspect as after gaining more VRAM (ie. 2GB - 4GB) many users are running out of memory, even though their games haven't changed.

I'll have to look it up, (sorry for the OT Unwinder). :)

I mentioned this before but it is still a problem for me.

When my G19 is plugged in, the LCD display defaults to the G19 and I want it to be on the G13.

I disabled the Afterburner app (the one associated with the G19) in the Logitech Software but I still get a blank screen on the G13.

If I disable the G19 LCD in the device manager, it does display on the G13 but it also removes the keyboard from the Logitech software meaning I cannot use the programming features.

I've gone through the cfg files associated with Afterburner to see if there is anything I can do to fix this but with the exception of physically disabling the G19 LCD in the device manager, nothing seems to work.

I'm assuming there is something that detects the G19 and defaults to it no matter what.

Any way to get around this?

    Cheers

It seems like video capture doesn't work in OpenGL games. Can anyone confirm this? The video is completely blank/black when I play it back. The capturing also completely destroys fps (from 60 to like 20 or even less).

Why Afterburner messes up the file header in longer captures?

Some people before reported me already about this and now it happened to me as well as I made a capture of about an hour instead of 20min this time.

And this is not caused by the video codec, because of the following reasons:

    a) For the other person it happened with MagicYUV
    b) For me it happened with UTVideo
    c) It is always the same - messed up code in the header
    d) It happens only in longer captures. If you stay around 30mins or below - it works always
    e) At other software this doesnt happen.

So this excludes the codec and this has something to do with afterburner.

Here a mediainfo how it looks like if its messed up:

    Code:
    General

Can an app profiler be coded into MSI Afterburner to be able to choose overclocks intellegently depending on which app is chosen that is on top without user interaction like IXTU?

A user would type the process name for it to happen with. Then a user would choose which profile to load when that process is on (and which one to load when on battery). Profile will save. MSI would then detect the process when it is clicked. It will then run this profile before the app starts. Then the app will start. When the process is dead, you will return back to your default profile automatically. Profiles will switch on before game instead of during game because I heard it's dangerous to switch profiles on gpus like that when the 3D app is already running.

So it would be similar to the 2D/3D profiler you already have, but for specific processes instead.

No answer in it's own thread so I'll add it here.

So the problem is, I don't have a fan control tab on my Afterburner settings.
Afterburner allows me to choose between the APU, an A10-7850K (makes sense no fan control) or the Asus 5870V2 I just put in.

I had hoped by changing Afterburner's reference to the 5870 the fan tab would appear but nothing.

Afterburner was not installed until the 5870 was working as expected with the omega driver. I've tried with CCC's gpu overdrive manual fan control off and on (which works). Afterburner and RSS were both uninstalled and an earlier version installed which changed nothing.
Currently using Trixx which does the job but I'd rather have Afterburner.

I am using GTX 980 MSI Gaming 4G and i do wonder why does the Afterburner Fan Curve setting only affect the rear fan of the VGA?

It's been answered by Unwinder a few months back. Search this forum.

Ah Ok sorry for that. Not a problem then i guess. Just to be clear whether that Afterburner fan setting will collide with so-called HybridFrozr tech. Thanks.
