i didn't know there was a beta 2
Superseded now with this beta #3 but it was on post #63 on page 3, I missed a few releases of Afterburner 4.3.0 when that had public beta releases.
Excellent news, I'm happy to inform you that I completely finished implementation of Vulkan OSD support. Raster 3D mode is now also supported in beta 4. I'm currently on AMD 2x480 Crossifre system, so any feedback on Raster 3D mode in Vulkan from NVIDIA users is welcome.
While we're testing Vulkan OSD support, I'll proceed with Vulkan screencapture/videocapture implementation, probably release couple more betas then we'll launch official RTSS 6.6.0.
Raster 3D is bugged on NVidia:
(378.49, Windows 10 64-bit)
i'm using this version now and the OSD doesn't work with Ghost recon beta
i'll try older beta 3 version
RTSS 6.6.0 beta 3 didn't work either
rolled back to 6.5.0 and it works just fine
Ghost recon beta uses easy anti cheat. just like watch dogs 2. if you want RTSS overlay. have you use v6.5.1 or older for it to work. you can disable easy anti cheat but being how this is a online only game, its not really an option. while in watch dogs 2, you could play single player and have easy anti cheat disabled.
Thanks for reporting, I've replaced 2x480 Crossifre with single 1070 card and reproduced it. The problem is hopefully fixed in beta 5:
EasyAntiCheat is based on principle pf blocking unknown hooks and whitelisting known overlays only. EAC doesn't whitelist RTSS betas, only official RTSS releases are added to whitelist. Once we'll launch official 6.6.0, it will be whitelisted on EAC side.
More good Vulkan related news. I've just finished Vulkan screencapture/videcapture implementation support so we're pretty close to launching official RTSS 6.6.0 release. There will be one more beta tomorrow and if we confirm that Vulkan videocapture works, we'll release it officially:
that is understandable
RTSS 6.6.0 beta 6 is online. Vulkan screencapture/videocapture should be working now:
One issue I noticed (not new though) is that the installer doesn't know where I installed RTSS the last time.
I have it installed on "C:\Games\RTSS", but the installer picks "C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server". If I select "C:\Games\RTSS" manually, then the installer wants to install it in "C:\Games\RTSS\RivaTuner Statistics Server". So I have to edit it by hand.
Would be nice if the installer knew where RTSS is currently installed.
That is most common with installers, now if it had built in updater, then I would say its maybe a issue.
Eh, nope. Most installers don't have this issue. They install over the previous install directory.
It's not "maybe an issue", it IS an issue. The only question is whether it's an important issue. Answer: It's not.
But it's still an issue.
Heya, thanks for your work
I've been trying to download these new RTSS betas but all of the downloads after Beta2 fail at 99% completion, I've tried in multiple browsers.
try this link
It failed too, which lead me to think it was my antivirus, so I disabled it and that was the issue. Stupid Avast and silly me.
who uses anti-virus these days ? :3eyes:
waste of money if you ask me
This latest beta v5 (not very latest v6) didnt work with most uplay games, downgraded back to 6.5.1 and it was ok again.
Keyword is EAC and it was discussed a few posts above.
