If you check EVGA's forum you'll find that PrecisionX is buggy as hell since they parted ways with the developer. MSI Afterburner is recommended more than anything else when members have problems with PrecisionX.

No idea about bugs but EVGA Precision X claims to have supported DX12 since June or so last year.

It's only for a select few Nvidia GPU's though so I can't use it myself so I have no info on how well it works though the above post made it seem pretty bad.

I see.You are a lucky, man. I bet most developers/employees whose software is officially affiliated with ,say, Microsoft, Apple or whatever and is available on their official site, can't afford to say something like this (and act on it) :)

I bet that most of third party, let's say Sapphire, card owners coming here to demand new builds do not even realize that I'm not a full time MSI employee and release updates with new features per my own wish in my free time without any obligations just to help people. The only case when AB have to be updated per contract is to support new custom design MSI hardware. And talking about how lucky I am, "changed priorities in my real life" is a longe divorce process, which leaves me close to zero power to develop anything besides my primary job. But forum kids just want to get new versions to play with overclocks and don't care about anything else, heh.

Sure, I love what Unwinder is doing with Afterburner: there are too many rushed pieces of software out there, from browsers to OSs not to mention videogames. :)

Sorry to hear about your divorce Alex, hope you both can leave selfishness aside and work it out the best way for you, but mostly for your kid/s (if you have any).

Kind Regards and may the force be with you...

Good news, my MSI GTX 1080 just arrived. So I can start working on GPU Boost 3.0 support. Not sure if we'll be able to provide a version with full 1080 support on official sales start day, May 27th, but at least I'll do my best to make it happen as soon as it possible.
