    Hi Guys, today we release the beta 11 which include vMem control, and some of "undisclosed" chips as well! Due to MSI HQ will be in CNY during 2012/01/21-2012/01/29, I will be offline for some days, hope you guys have fun with the latest beta 11!!

    - Added memory voltage control for reference design AMD RADEON 7970 graphics cards with CHL8228 voltage regulators
    - Now MSI Afterburner displays target VID instead of real voltage sensor reading on "GPU voltage" graph on graphics cards equipped with CHL8228 voltage regulators. These changes are implemented to avoid confusing the beginners and prevent the hysteria about voltage drop on AMD RADEON 7970 series graphic cards spreading across different discussion forums. Experienced users, understanding the difference between target and real voltages, may still unlock the previous real voltage monitoring mode via editing the hardware profiles
    - Core and memory clock limits have been extended to 180% on AMD RADEON 7970 graphics cards in unofficial overclocking mode
    - Now MSI Afterburner's startup daemon routine precaches VRM I2C registers state at the first Windows startup. Precached VRM state is being used to detect default voltage instead of hardcoding default voltages into the database. Please take a note that you may forcibly perform precaching later with command line switch or disable the precaching at all via configuration file if necessary and force MSI Afterburner to use the previous hardcoded database based default voltage detection
    - MSI On-Screen Display server has been upgraded to version 4.3.1. New version gives you the following improvements:
    o Added workaround for AMD OpenGL driver context switching issues causing abnormally low framerate in ID Software Rage when OSD is enabled
    o Added workaround for AMD OpenGL driver PBO issues causing the driver to crash or perform abnormally slow during videocapture

    CHL8228 voltage regulator, i found that Asus cards have that regulator, are there any other manufacturers that add this regulator to their 7970 cards?

    CHL8228 is in use on all reference design 7970, 7950 and some revisions of reference design 6970 cards.

    Judging by the files date/time, I assume File 2 is the most current build.

    Thanks for the new release!

    I was prompted to download Beta 11 by Afterburner itself when I turned my PC on this morning at 7:45am UK time, which I answered Yes to to download the file then installed it.

    How do I know whether I have the latest version or not (expiry date was listed as 13th March 2012 from memory)? Is there some way to tell from the creation date of the file?

    Thanks.

    Press "i" and verify compilation date. Old build is dated Jan 13th whilst new one is Jan 17th.

    DUT localization update beta 11

    Here you go Alex.

    http://dev-host.org/izraa2eni4vv/DUT.zip

    But one question , when I do a CL run I get this

    Code:
      Searching for DUT pack translation database entries missing in rus pack
        Checking file C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Localization\DUT\Translation\MSIAfterburner.exe\StringTable
          Line 00170 : "The changes you've made will be applied after restarting MSI Afterburner. Do you want to restart it now?"
        1 entri(es) total
      Searching for rus pack translation database entries missing in DUT pack
        Checking file C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Localization\rus\Translation\MSIAfterburner.exe\StringTable
          Line 00170 : "The changes you've made will be applied after restarting MSI Afterburner. Do you want to restart it now?"
    But if you check the DUT and RUS localization the line 170 is there and translated on line171

    It was more than clearly declared in the relase notes:

    - Now MSI Afterburner displays target VID instead of real voltage sensor reading on "GPU voltage" graph on graphics cards equipped with CHL8228 voltage regulators. These changes are implemented to avoid confusing the beginners and prevent the hysteria about voltage drop on AMD RADEON 7970 series graphic cards spreading across different discussion forums. Experienced users, understanding the difference between target and real voltages, may still unlock the previous real voltage monitoring mode via editing the hardware profiles

    Real voltage monitoring can be enabled by editing [Settings] section of hardware profiles (.\Profiles\VEN_.......cfg) and adding

    VDDC_CHL8228_VIDReadback = 0
    MVDDC_CHL8228_VIDReadback = 0

    Thanks, Tom. The warning is displayed because you have one space missing before "Do" in Dutch localization.
