Some users in different forums were unhappy with default MSI Afterburner tray icon look and honestly I tend to agree with it: MSI Afterburner logo downsampled to 16x16 pixel area was hardly recognizable in the system tray. So I recreated the icon leaving just the jet plane instead of whole logo. Anyone wish to see it instead of previous tray icon in the final 1.4.0 build?

Thanks for feedback, then I guess that we'll use new one and the previous will travel to the trash. ;)

Some instability when HD5870 is clocked at 1GHz and Afterburner actively reads temps. Few TDR occurs when I was playing Crysis Wars (win7 x64).
    Edit:
Yep, things are alright when I went back to 1.30. Something is not worki on my rig.

I'm afraid that the chances that it is caused by actively reading temps are equal to zero and it will never be fixed. You're either misunderstanding something or comparing system stability using different overclocking interfacaes (official AMD's one and unlockable unoofficial one, which have diffferent memory timing tuning policy and different maximum clock limits).
If you dobn't beleive in that - just stay with 1.3.0 ;)

OK. I will stick with 1.30. I use it only for changing GPU voltage on Asus HD5870. Temps are already known and safe, therefor when I apply clock and voltage I usually close Afterburner. Will wait for Smart doctor that really works.
    Thanks.

Unwinder, I've made crossflash of Sapphire 5850 with MSI5870 unlocked bios. Everything is work ok, but Afterburner now can't change GPU vcore. Actually Afterburner allow me to set 1.35v, but in fact there is no change in voltage. Is there solution for this?
    Thank's!

There is reason for that, please don't claim that you cannot change voltage if you play different BIOS flashing tricks and violate the major system requirement explicitly states in voltage control documentation:

Reference design PCB and reference VGA BIOS is required for proper voltage
control on these graphics card series. Voltage control may work improperly
if voltage control circuit on the PCB or voltage table in BIOS is modified
    by vendor or by user

And yes, there is workaround. If you modify BIOS - you can also modify the database to force it to use 5870 specific voltage control way. It was discussed before, please use search.

    Thank's.
I don't claim, I understand that in this case something may not work properly and I just ask if there is some not so complicated solution. I can't modify the BIOS (I'm not familiar with bios modifying), therefore I'll switch back to MSI5850 bios where Afterburner works perfect.
    Thank's again!

Thanks for the new version. Tried that new launch using task scheduler. Works fine. Actually before that version I was launching afterburner in the same way :)

Ah, and the new icon will be better :)

Hé Unwinder , beta looks good on my system , gtx 280 in sli and a gt9800 for physx.
Everything works great , voltage ,overclocking on all 3 cards ,profiles, temp ,...and the fan control is superb.

    Good job !!
