Hiya, I had decided on my upgrade from my GTX 480 to be a MSI GTX 670 power edition. However, I saw this article from back in October: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/MSI-GTX-660-670-overvolting-PowerEdition,18013.html Does anyone know if this got sorted? I can't see any other articles on the subject. Cheers!
From what i saw it was just 660Ti and even that was a bit plausible. Only one user out of nowhere and then Tom's Hardware Germany pulled that diagram from idk where.. To me it looked like soemone wanted to make MSI look bad and hinder their TwinFrozr4 mainstream sales.
I have the asus DCU II none top,and thats a great video card go for it you wont regret it :banana::banana:
I've had one of these since July and it has been a beast for OC. I don't see why there is cause for concern to be honest. With a +50mV boost I can hit 1330 mhz on it and not hit 80 C in any game.
Yeah what a crock of crap... The oc software that allows you to up the volts is MSI AB v2.2.3. Any newer version just doesn't raise the core volt at all. The card is a nice card, but if you bought it under the guise of oc'ing the balls off it then forget it, it's no better then a reference design for oc apart from cooling. Yeah I own one and it works flawlessly, but the whole "overvoltage" advertising that is plastered over the packaging is nothing more then a gimmick bordering on false advertising.
I prefer to update my 450gts to the next nvidia series (750 gts for example) You should wait for 760gtX
