1. hi !
i am a music lover like all.
i have a large collection of 1000 songs.
previously which songs was wav format i converted them to mp3 with a huge headache as i felt lack of space. because each wave song takes 25
MB each & mp3 takes around 5MB for same song.
now as my collection is going on increasing i am feeling lack of space again.
now i want to convert my mp3 collection to mp3 pro which will freeup the space by 50 % of now
i found thomson mp3pro player which converts only wav to mp3 pro but not mp3 to mp3pro
now i have to convert each song to wav first & then to mp3 pro, which is very tedious process.
:hot: can any one help me to find out such solution which will allow me directly to convert mp3 to mp3pro & i will be very great full to him.

It might be easier and faster to upgrade to a bigger hard drive or even to add a second hard drive.

I agree with LuvMaster. Get a new hard drive. I've read that MP3 Pro format is poorer quality than MP3 anyway.
You want to know large collection? I've got something around 180GB in MP3 files and growing.

if u really want to do it use winamp and make a playlist of say 200 songs at a time (mind u, u must have that much free space on ur hd) adn go into options -> preferences -> under plug-ins go to output and chage teh output to "nullsoft disk writer plug-in" go to the configure button on the bottom and choose the path u want the wav's to be created.... then u can use something like audio production studio to convert them all to mp3pro

Just stay w/ regular MP3 if you want quality.
I'm up around 6k of mp3's. Just get a burner. That way you can have all your favorite genres sorted onto disks.
