I couldn't stand the forced dark bookmarks background. Reinstalled 94.0 and completely disabled all updates with a reg. entries

Why do you set your OS to dark theme if you can't stand it?

After v97 FF reset the fission.autostart = true, I had to change it to false.

Yeah, I may reenable it, it wasn't a performance issue I just don't like 20+ instances of firefox running as it removes options to adjust instances.

I have no diea, I stop using other versions of FF and stick to Mozilla FF versions. I used to use Palemoon but when a tried original FF it was much faster, at least on my HW.

I wouldn't mind that either but I tend to have a lot of tabs open, probably 50+ right now if I had to guess which produces 31 instances of firefox.exe.

31 seem pretty low if have 50+ tabs open if you said something like 50+ instance that another story which what i would expect with that many tabs . I think really only issue if go insane with tabs and never actual close it

For some reason Windows Defender is flagging Ublock Origin xpi extension file in Firefox as a "severe" malware threat and quarantining it. Am considering it a false positive but defender wont restore it and blocks re-installation of the addon.

I am on 1.41.2 and noticed the GUI has changed a bit, I haven't gotten any flag notices from Defender, this is Win10 latest.

Edit: do a search for "Windows Defender is flagging Ublock Origin xpi", seems you are not alone.
I didn't scan yet to check here.

What I would do is upload it to VirusTotal site and see how many hits. It probably false positive.
    https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload

Edit2: I just tested all 3 files and there clean as far as VirusTotal is concerned.
So I would run windows update and see if a new definitions comes out, hopefully it will fix that false positive.

I've been using 96 now for about a week and gotten used to the new tab style... everything seems to be working really nice.

I had stayed with 86 prior to this since it's release, and prior to that 56... seems mozilla usually gets their act together with builds that have a 6 in it lol
