Advise ppl to make a full backup of v93 before moving to 94. Because if something not working to your liking in 94, you wont be able to go back to 93 (unless starting fresh). You will get this warning and no option of using your old profile:

    firefox94.png

Pretty pissed that they did not warn of this before allowing to move to 94.

yah would be nice if they notifed of that BEFORE they auto updated uncles pc, honestly though the only thing i see the diffrent is highly text in url bar is now turquoises, while it is blue every where else. i will do that before upgrade pc to it. i just hope my CSS changes to menu tool bar pop down menus still work as i despise the defualt padding/spacing in proton or what curret ui is called

This hasn't been introduced just with this version afaik. But yes, it's annoying af. It at least should automatically create a compressed backup.

I use a portable FF installation. Easy to copy, paste it anywhere for backup.

Its not that for me, but whenever I experience unusual browser behaviour, I revert to an earlier version just to see of the issue exists there.

there are 2 issues i noticed 1 that fixed prior and new issue i seen recently been around since 90 or earlier

click on link is randomly NOT load said links again
    and
either the whole browser field is blank till i scroll or only part of browser field is blank this general only happen when switch tab or coming back from minimizing browser

maybe profiles need to be delete and started from scratch again, probably once ever year or 2 i delete profiles and let ffsync repopulate my bookmarks and passwords. atlest i do on my personal pc seeing my profile is located on "data" drive and not main so i point firefox at it location when I do a windows re-install same for thunderbird profile

Thanks, works. Still advisable to make backups in case issues arise. I guess it may not be much of an issue in same branch, but might be coming from an older branch, ie, 89 to 90.

Wish Mozilla would make clear in release notes which specific versions are incompatible rather than generalized info that reverting to older versions may corrupt files.

Going back and forth between 93 and 94 to diagnose issues, I'm sticking with 93. It may not even be 94 related, but some sites have slow web page loading with 94 but open normally with 93. Its not often, but it is annoying.

i will stick to my download from mozilla, to this date i still have yet to EVER use MS store and probably never will.

as for 94 goes, I dont see any difference it runs the same as always. I dont even see much if any speed difference.

you can no longer choose the number of processes?

you can put any number that firefox will put huge numbers of processes here, it goes beyond 20
will spend a lot more memory using 20 processes or more. I wanted to limit it to a maximum of 4 or 8
how to do this in version 94.0.1?

in firefox options you no longer have an option for the number of processes you want

in older version firefox you change number of process

Something is wrong with your build then because I am still able to change this value in the UI too

I find the setting works with one exception, media tabs like youtube will have there own container/exe and maybe other media.
But with same tabs the process count should go up and down with the setting, it just won't match the exact value you set.
