    The American & The Town

Watched The American & The Town the other day. Both are decent movies but somewhat predictable. I guess most movies are nowadays though. Both are worth watching once.
    7.75/10 for both.

I watched Inception a few weeks back & though it was a bit overrated. While it was a decent movie, it was nowhere near the best movie I had ever seen as some would suggest. I'd give it 8.25/10. Not a movie I wish to see for a 2nd time, anytime soon.

You must watch Inception a 2nd time. Trust me the story is funnier when you know a little bit what it's about.

"Shutter Island" on my list for this weekend along with "Inception" again. Also picked up "The American"; the reviews appeared mixed but I like George Clooney's acting.

overall it was a good movie story, gore and atmosphere wise, the acting in this one however felt pretty corny for some reason.

Just watched Dinner for Schmucks 4.5/10 & that's being gracious.
Also Casino Jack 6.75/10, not a bad movie, just not a whole lot going on. Casino Jack was worth watching once unlike Dinner for Schmucks.

Just finished "The American"; hot women, good story, the precision work on the mini carbine, excellent soundtrack. Ordered the Martin Booth book the story is based on. I heard they are going to do a remake of "The Mechanic", it could never compete w/ the Chas Bronson movie. Next up, "Machete".

    +1 for True Grit.

I watched Conviction last night, thought it was brilliant. Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell both pulling off stella performances.

Avatar for the 3rd time. Why did the humans not try to impersonate the gods?
Even the native Sioux thought that europeans were gods, when they saw Christopher Columbus in shiny metal armor for the first time!

But nooooooo, they have to explain the N'avi that they are just living beeings too, that they can bleed like everybody else, and then if N'avi refuse to trade precious material must kill every innocent. *yawn*
Why did they not use a small landing ship in shape of a golden pyramid, launch 4 nukes simlultaneusly high into the air and declare with booming voice: "Leave this place..." The N'avi would have surely crapped their pants and run away.
