You talking about the Peter Jackson movie? If so it was called Dead Alive in the US and yes, its freaking amazing. It must still hold the record for the bloodiest movie ever.

I can hardly remember that flick, so it didn't do it for me.

OK I googled, now I remember - shock for shock's sake.
    Good production
(too good for it's own good, remember August Undergrounds Mordum?)
good acting, but it tries too hard on too many fronts ultimately resulting in a forgettable experience.

    Enjoying backwood horror:

    The Hill's have eyes
    Breakdown
    Dead and buried

Edge of tomorrow (or Live, Die, Repeat) gotta love marketing!

Anyway despite hearing a bag of mixed reviews I gotta say I liked the movie, interesting enough concept good SFX not a bad watch at all apart from the ending which was a total and utter cope out and made no sense within the context and rules set out within the movie itself.

The best thing about the movie were the practical effects and the big number of stunts. It's so refreshing considering the overusage of CGI these days.

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy today, have to say it wasn't as amazing as i thought it would be.

It was very much enjoyable, a giggle here and there.

One thing that i noticed, the known actors that did some voices, i couldn't really notice it was them like Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.

That's because Vin Diesel sounds exactly like a talking tree, which makes Groot the most natural of the bunch.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't his actual voice, they must have done something to it. :D

No afaik it was just Vin like he always talks, basically sounding like some kind of animated wood instrument. He must have snapped his neck a couple of times when he was still into breakdancing. Frank Zappa's voice dropped significantly as well when he was chucked from a stage by an eccentric young Brit in the early 70s. Of course, he spent half a year in a wheelchair iirc.
