As other people pointed out, sensitivity and DPI are different things. I have mine from Windows on 70% I think and the dpi on 1200 for SC2.
A good mouse for less money is the a4tech 747H I think, can't look for a link now.
And btw: maybe you did it on purpose to attract attention, but the plural of mouse is mice ;). 'mouses' sounds cool though. :D

in most games and windows i have it set to 1800dpi i think. though there are several games where i HAVE to turn down the dpi (800dpi) unless its unplayable. serious sam games for instance.
Once i added a profile to the game in the logitech software its all good from there on.

I have a SideWinder X8 and find anything above 1,500 DPI to be way too twitchy for comfortable use. I think my mouse goes up to 2,500 or 3,000 DPI and that is just ridiculously over-sensitive for me. 1,000-1,500 DPI is fine though.

i use a microsoft razer habu, the dpi is set to 800 and the polling rate is set to 1000mhz. if im in a tank then i raise it to 2000dpi and if im in a jet i lower it to 400dpi.

1350 dpi is about all I need, but since the raw performance of my current mouse is at it's best on 2300, that's what I use. Alot of mice have something called their "native dpi", they tend to perform better at that settings.
