Can anyone give me a bit of advice? I'm currently running with the following spec: Intel E6400 Core2Duo 2GB DDR2 PC-4300 memory 7800GTX graphics card Now I have a cheapo Asus P5VD2 motherboard in my machine but I've been offered a Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 motherboard by a mate. Link for Asus: http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=1&model=1200&l1=3&l2=11&l3=310 Link for Gigabyte: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2547 Basically what I wanted to know is if I swap over to the Gigabyte would I notice any real difference in everyday use? My machine is quite fast now and plays most games etc. but I wouldn't wanna spend around £50-60 on a motherboard if I'm not really gonna notice a difference. What benefits would I get with the Gigabyte rather than sticking with my current motherboard? Thanks in advance if anyone can give me some tips.
What benefits? I can't count that high. Just buy the gigabyte and enjoy it (assuming its in working order)! That Asus board is very old.
If I'm not mistaken, the DQ6 boards are their higher end boards. And the P35 chipset is the choice for enthusiasts on a budget. They overclock VERY well. Actually both of my roommates own that very board.
