i have reconsidered, i guess i would add whiskey lullaby by brad paisley and allison krauss, and these days by rascal flatts (sorry if you don't like country)
I love adagio for strings, i first heard it as the homeworld theme music, then in platoon, and its such pretty music
Most depressing song? Hmm...from Homeworld (original), when you start the second mission...you return to your homeworld only to find it buring in flames...then the music starts, and kinda makes you realize how small you really are, how fragile we all are... .....................NIGH..................
All of Britney Spears's song....... thats more depressing than the word itself Or some of Marilyn Manson songs
Smiths/Morrissey songs (like Now my heart is full + speed way especially) Radiohead is pretty heavy duty... Same with some Muse stuff as well Joy Division (New Dawn Fades, Love will tear us apart etc) A Few Placebo, Cure, Soup, Doors tracks as well A lot of that sort of music is sooo good though - its really hard not to listen to it
Mazzy star - fade into you prob one of the most depressing songs i remember hearing.. Rolling stones / Tori Amos - Angie
Butterfly Kisses or The one where the guy and his g/f get into a car crash and she dies. Can't remember the name...
Adrian - By some girl... Its about this kid who is... I dont know. Its just DEPRESSING. Thats y I never listened to it again...
Nice list of bads being shown, Dashborad, Sipmle Plan etc. I personally like that songs that I I can relete to, leaving inturpretation open ended, for example GreenDays Boulevard Of Broken Dreams. But one song that gets me is Brand New - Soco Ameretto Lime Its not a sad song but it reminds me of times past that I will never live again
Bright Eyes - Something Vague or almost anything by bright eyes for that matter neil young - the needle and the damage done anything by joy division esp the album closer: probably the most depressing album of all time. modest mouse - gravity rides everything modest mouse - polar opposites modest mouse - wild packs of family dogs Simon and Garfunkle - America Simon and Garfunkle - The Boxer Kinks - Where have all the good times gone? A bunch of songs by tom waits CCR - someday never comes
Bright Eyes Lyrics are mazing, but I just cant stand his voice, havent heard those Modest Mouse ones, whihc album?
gravity rides everything and wild packs of family dogs are off of the moon and antarctica and polar opposites is off of the lonesome crowded west. i can understand why you wouldn't like that guy from bright eyes voice though...it can get kind of annoying after a while. i'd also like to add don't think twice, it's alright by bob dylan and nick cave and leonard cohen have some pretty depressing songs too. just noticed tears in heaven, nice choice adair. excellent song.
driven under - seether just watch the video... Red hot chili peppers - dosed another song that makes me stuck up. audioslave - like a stone awesome song.... others are: seether + amy - broken keane - everybody's changing coldplay - the scientist (why do videos played backwards are so good???) rhcp - under the bridge john lenon - imagine
