YES, finally someone who understands! :D
I've loved Radiohead for years and years. It's actually one of the few band's I purchase cd's from, while most of the other stuff I listen to is downloaded.

Anyway, I think, atleast lyrics wise, that Radiohead - Prove Yourself is the saddest song. But as you know, not many of their songs are uplifting, and about everything they ever made is good, so...

I understand as well. I have almost all their CD's, with Creep probably being my favorite song of theirs. I also love how they change their sound almost every album, but yet sound so good on everyone.

Yeah, I know what you mean. You can hear which direction they are going in on every album. OK Computer lead to Kid A, and you could definitely hear that they were going that way. Same with all the albums they've made. A band that actually invents something new all the time, but at the same time keep the "radiohead sound".
As for favourite song, I think I will have to say Paranoid Android. It's such a masterpiece. It has all moods packed in one song. Just amazing!

And of course you see my avartar and sig, which is Radiohead art :D

Yes yes yes, I know, OT.

Yeah, Evanescence - My Immortal is very good and sad also, any version or it.

Others that also fit into this category that I heard today -

    Blink182 - Adam's Song

Travis Tritt - Tell Me I Was Dreaming

Metallica - To Live Is to Die (I think the band dedicated this song to cliff burton after he died, very sad-sounding guitar solo)

    A really depressing song?

    Sarah Brightman - Gloomy sunday.

That song has litterally driven over a hundred people to suicide, listening to this song over its course and time.

Sarah brightman wasnt the first to sing it, but she sings it best IMO.

and another depressing song(s).. any song from britney spears.. everytime i hear one i suddenly get extremely depressed.

But seriously, Gloomy Sunday is one seriously depressing song. I listen to it because i feel it makes me stronger. If i can deal with it easily then i've grown just a little more ^_^

Alice in Chains -- "nutshell" "down in a hole" and "don't follow" are very depressing.

but just about any AiC song is depressing, but i think these may be their saddest.

Some of Tracy Chapman songs are depressing........

Not sure if they are really depressing or not, but I find some of Ben Harpers songs depressing, although I'm a huge fan of them.

Forever by Ben Harper, would definately have to be up there, I love the song though.

Also Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, sad song, plus so many memories to it, remember dancing with this girl at one of my formals.....was good. *Sigh*
