Gameplay looks alright, though not sure if I could play it for more than 30mins at a time.

I like the textures but they do not justify 6GB of Vram..However, those textures are maybe High since the texture pack isn't out yet..

Yeah, i think thats the issue here aswell, just as it was with Watch dogs.

I really hope this wont be a continuing trend, but it sure looks like it.

Umm...maybe it's better to wait for the PC review from TB.

From the other thread, 3gb vram high textures, ugh.

At least it has a vram usage count, so we can swap and change settings to get higher textures.

Well, that's the crunch, isn't it?

If a game with non-repeating textures has noticeably lower quality textures overall than one with repeating textures then why bother? I can't honestly say that RAGE or Wolfenstein: TNO were better games graphically because their textures did not repeat but I can say that I noticed that a lot of their textures were flat-looking and low-res.

heh that texture detail doesn't look anything better then 2010 game.. Or Witcher2.

EDIT: also no danymic foliage, at least bushes could move when you walk inside them, AVP210 had that by anything even mushrooms :D

The details are really good, especially the character models, but it doesn't justify the Vram requirement.

    from the IGN review:

There are even some enhanced graphics settings, including an ultra-high texture setting that requires a full 6GB of video memory

6GB of memory? I'm sorry but this is a fking joke.

6Gb of vram for high res textures? LOL. Either lazy implementing or money from nvidia/amd to push these specs and force some upgrades.

No reason you should need 6gb of ram

Considering Watch Dogs doesnt even need that much at 4k.

I don't think Ryse even requires that much for 4k? I think they suggested 3gb?

6gb of vram is insane. Insane in the regard that there's little in the way of a difference between high and ultra textures. If it made a huge difference I'd give them a little more leeway. But the difference is negligible, especially for the requirement.

Ryse requires 4GB of Vram for max settings/4K(3840*2160).Shadow of mordor says that it requires 6GB of Vram for 1080P in order to enjoy the ultra textures.

It's a way to force people buy the 8GB version of GTX980/970.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was, didn't NVIDIA show off Shadow of Mordor at their Game24 event?

Let's see what the difference is actually... Still even if the game looks much better this simply does not justify buying a card that will cost what 700-800 euro most likely? I mean from the screenshots alone, this game looks nice - but nothing that makes my jaw drop totally. How much VRAM did Crysis3 use? Look at the graphics on that game.. i mean come on
