I know Monolith's track record is pretty good when it comes to PC ports. I just need a little controversy with my day. :D

Shouldn't cd keys be sent 1-2 days before release ? I didn't get mine from cdkeys.com yet.

What could speak against this being the case (as with other recent titles), is the unified memory of the new consoles, which this game is also tailored for... which would probably explain why it reqruires as much vram as it does (as a certain other game).

Best to wait until TBs review I guess before buying this game?

Thanks. Found it at ~25€ which is pretty good but don't want to buy it if there are performance problems.

Unified memory is not an excuse for devs to be lazzy and release a bad port. Its their job to optimize their games resource and memory usage and allocation for platform on which they are putting their game on, (so it doesnt dump all the assets in vram, and not using system ram at all). and not just do a straight dump from a differnet platform with zero optimization for respective platform, aka watch dogs, and by the looks of it this game aswell.

You guys seriously believe that you'll need 6gb vram to run this with ultra settings?

Well I don't because the game's environments primarly consist of barren rocky landscapes with the odd tree and ruins and do not appear to be that detailed or varied from the videos I've seen. Unless every tree, rock and brick/stone has its own individual 8K texture then I can't see how such a game can require 6 GB of VRAM personally.

It's quite amusing though to think that in 5 years time I might be reading this comment and laughing at pitifully small 4 GB of VRAM was but that's technology for you! I remember it wasn't that long ago that I thought 1 GB of VRAM was plenty! :D

    I agree entirely!

But by the looks of it, that is basically what is happening, sadly :/

For sure, It´s monolith and when devs bother themselves to put an in-game warning like this you know it´ll run like crap if you don´t follow.

I might get it for PS4. I'm not really sure yet. I'll flip a coin later and decide then.

Ok, I'll post screens with the game maxed at 1440p using way less than 4gb.

Why are you so sure eclap ? Inside information ? :) Don't forget to install the Ultra HD texture pack before you try because otherwise it makes no difference from using the High textures.

These ps4 screenshots stunning. I wonder what texture settings I would need to choose on PC ver, in order to mach ps4 settings, medium or high?

High most likely. The PS4 has 5GB of total RAM available for games and a launch title (Killzone) already uses 3GB for graphics.

Those consoles are a good baseline for PC gaming because they have a lot of memory. That should translate into high quality assets.

I know, take my word for it. Not going to say anything more on the topic.

Edit: allow me to rephrase. The game will run just fine all maxed on 3gb cards. 780ti will outperform titans.
