Chrome is using 20 processes, I just counted. This is freaking insane...how did they think this would be a good idea? Googling it, says it's normal...
Not sure on how IE9 works but IE8 opens 1 process for the main IE.EXE and one for each tab and keeps them open for a set time after you close so you can if you choose open that tab it again instantly. http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/m...xploreexe-run-when-using-internet-explorer-8/
crome is $hit, tried it 2-3 times and always end up erasing it, FF way is faster for daily use! Perfect example guru3dforums, when you use rich message editor, its loading those icons slowly instead in a micro sec like by FF next thing is its intrusive installer, it digs deeply into your system, you have to go to program data and and app data to remove all the crap it left behind, plus contacts google all the time, talk about privacy.. Same with google earth it keep sending some $hit to google, yea right.. no tnx. Opera ain't better either, no useful blockers and those that are, are again more like crap than not, Safari is a disaster too.. I never used IE except for ms stuff otherwise its a spam fest.. so far FF is the best out of all even if it kinda sucks with Flash sometimes its still no1 browser.
1)- No idea what happened to you, but by me it loads them immediately. 2)- It installs to that location to bypass admin install blocks on most company systems. Also you can turn off all the contacting Google stuff: -Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on (by Google) -And just disable the options (which also speed up internet next-page loading) in the control panel of Chrome.
The reason you might see several processes is because it sandboxes not only each tab, but Flash, Javascript and HTML scripts.
i wasn't doing anything wrong, i opened the rich context and it loaded those icons one by one (ok it lasted only 2-3 sec) but still wasn't right away like by FF.. its crome's rendering engine that sucked im not gonna bother with it again. I see you're a big Crome fan im not gonna stop you from using it, enjoy it.
I have been a loyal user and defender of IE for years now. About an hour after trying out the IE 9 RC I downloaded Chrome and haven't used IE since. I stuck with IE for so long because up until now it had, IMO, the best user interface. I can't believe they could be so stupid as to try and make IE 9 look just like Firefox and Chrome. Way to throw in the towel and give validity to all the BS people have been spouting about IE for so long. There are also a ton of extremely annoying changes to the file download process, the context menus and it pisses me off that the favorites can only be on the left side if you pin them there.
Yeah, Firefox loads Guru3D instantly, while Chrome takes 2-3 seconds. =/ Guys, I know you say Chrome is faster, but it isn't for me, and I have like 50 plugins for Firefox.
Bottom line is ie9 is best browers for average user and ff best browser for ease to program web pages. Ie9 is leaps forward and makeing it better from the program state. IE9 is best overall period.
IE will always be behind the competition. I'd use Opera as my main browser but I'm stuck with FF as the main due to the plugins I use which only exist for FF.
I personally prefer IE9's interface over other browsers, including older IE's. IE9 loads everything faster than chrome or FF for me.
Found this hunter. "We will release the final version of Internet Explorer 9 for download beginning at 9 p.m. Pacific." http://windowsteamblog.com/ie/b/ie/...ore-beautiful-web-launches-on-march-14th.aspx
I have to check that time zone... Almost 8:00 now? Fuuuu.... I have to wait 13 hours then. Tomorrow it is then.
