Silicon Studio created a demo of Mizuchi, an impressive new graphics engine that offers stunning visuals. In the video everything you see is rendered in real-time. A highly recommended video for that ...

Wow, this almost looks like photo-realism to me! Although, I would imagine if they had chosen people rather than robots, then it would have been less so. The close up of the camera was very convincing when the robot was handling it. Anyone know what it was run on? Haha, I'm gonna see if I can download it from somewhere - see how my 670MX will do! ;-)

impressive it not even close to photo realism to me though. To me photo realism Is when i cant look at and not tell it is CGI

Which would mean exactly how one would see things in real life, which we are not even close to being able to do

Decent demo but I'm more excited for UE4 (probably because a new UT is coming :D).

The reflections on the robot are impressive.

What kind of hardware would be needed for this I wonder.

Not only reflections, but mainly refractions on lenses were superb.
But on other hand it was 720p render upscaled to 1080p.

I think GTX780/R9-290 should do all necessary math required if some DirectCompute ray-tracing is involved.

New UE is getting close to this and it will run well on current HW.
