I would bet this is a remastered but this time open world mirror s edge from 2008. It certainly has the same look as the original

i love the graphics, but i feel there's something off with animations, especially fighting scenes.

What the heck with the tearing on that video, couldn't watch it for more than first minute. This (v sync off = extreme tearing) is one of the best ways to really make a video unpleasant to watch. Thumbs down just for that factor.

Game looks fine/OK. Not amazing for sure.

Exactly my thoughts, the visuals do not look that much better (or this particular level doesn't not show it off) than the original, which is not necessary a bad thing but still, I expected more.

The combat and tearing were really cringebworthy though...

Yeah, enemies' ragdoll is quite ridicolous, they fall and contort themselves like liveless objects.

"NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 970 4GB or better / AMD Radeon™ R9 280x 3GB or better" comparing gtx 970 with a renamed HD7970 are they drunk :stewpid: it seems they are stupid or the game is preferring amd H\W

Probably, i DON'T see a 7970/280x maxing out this game at 1080p 60fps. Although in the game's lore there isn't much to render, its not like dragon age inquisition's hinterlands, where is vegetation.

Urban games run great, where is vegetation involved, there's issues. Also frostbite is an optimized engine, sort of.

Or because the recommended specs are for DX12.

    Exactly.
It's simply because Nvidia are not doing that well in DX12.

I dont think the game is in dx12. If its will be just a wrapper like in tomb raider, with multi-threaded CPU support only.

280X was beating 780 in Quantum Break and getting close to 970. If game is using dx12 api then this GPU recommendation isnt that surprising.

Its also using Frostbite engine that favors AMD cards.

Im liking where my 280X stands this days. :p

I don't think it's a wrapper cause Frostbite support mantle for years .It's likely already support DX12 .

970 becoming the new 960 lol.

You would assume that Dice will be using DX12 after their experience with Mantle, though I was under the impression that they favoured DX12 only.

I remember reading that all games coming out from EA in 2016 will feature DirectX 12 ?

With Frostbite already featuring Mantle, I would assume implementing DX12 would be easy seeing as it's also a low level api similar to Mantle.
