Update took about same amount of time as doing clean install and setting everything from scratch (and additional 6 restarts). Then finally login screen and bastard says: "Hi, we have some updates for you. This may take a while..." 4 minutes later: "Almost there." ...

Can't install it on my Ryzen 2700X system - says some driver/service isn't compatible. Doesn't say which driver/service - not very helpful. All the important drivers are compatible to my knowledge. Dunno about any obscure drivers but chipset, graphics, iCUE, antivirus etc are all up to date.

you have no one to blame but yourself, the issues with creative cards are well documented.

Installed and working without issue on my MSI gaming laptop. Generally feels a little snappier though. I use Start 10 so ive not seen anything that looks a different to be honest.

remove all your usb stuff, leave KB or mouse and it should work. Worked for me. It was either my Headphones (usb) or some random USB stick id forgotten was there for weeks

Installed, no issues. 2700x, Crosshair VII Hero, Corsair AIO, 1080ti, and a crap load of USB devices, although my wheel, pedals and shifter are normally not powered up unless I'm using them. I've not had a windows 10 related issue, really since moving(kicking and screaming the whole time) from Win7. I hated Win8, and ironically, I've pretty much loved WIn10 since installation.

It's any usb that gets an assigned drive letter I couldn't update from usb iso because of that. I just used the Windows Insider method instead. The error indicates that there is a problem with reassigned drive letters and will be corrected soon.
