This made me sad
Pretty much most currencies are worth a fair bit less now than they did when live launched.
This sucks, but it could be worse. Instead of 3 months, they could lower it to 2 months like they did before.
Very stupid move in the current economic state no matter what you've added to the "Experience" Microsoft just doesn't get it so it would seem.... Glad I don't have a Xbox!
Well I never cared for live when I got my xbox initially and I really dont give a toss about it now either. It wasnt worth the price years ago in my opinion for what you get so a price jump simply puts it more out of reach for more people.
Really whats the point of live? anyone care to try and enlighten me?
I am going to buy the year long Live now before these changes take effect.
While I enjoyed my time with the Xbox 360, I've moved on to greener pastures, mainly the PC. :nerd: For the most part consoles are dead to me until the next, next-gen systems come out. Even then I may pass on one considering the PC is just way more versatile & it looks great on an HDTV. I don't see the point of consoles anymore.
making up for 360 redesign/kinetic R&D costs? or maybe robbing 360 to pay Vista?
Probably taking advantage of the large number of MW2 fiends and upcomin Halo Reach players to do so.
Heavens forbid, £1 a month!
Or $10 more a year!!!
It'll take me forever to work that.
It's the principle of the action, scatman. Also, in the bigger picture, which is what Microsoft is looking at, $10 more a year times however many people are on Live is a lot of money.
Xbox is gay
But tbh i dont get why you have to pay to go online. We already pay internet providers for that...Oh well...
i'm glad online MP is free on the PS3.
well its just the fact that inflation or whatever so it should cost some 10$ more now... but like i care its so small amount of money... and im a student.
but to use netflix, last.fm, espn whatever as a reason is stupid i can't use any of those. DDD
it will be around the same they were getting 2002 when live was first started when comparing nowdays $ to $ in 2002
So i bought live twice since i had my xbox for 2 years. Now i am not buying it all. Thank god i have more RPG's and single playing games than online games. ^_^ And they are mainly exclusives as well.
Really? Online play?
I agree with you. They should make it like PS3 plus(Which I don't use): Don't pay for the mp but just for the other extra stuff if you want to.
This is seriously annoying. They're practically forcing you to buy 12 month live now to "save money". £5.99 a month, pfff.
Sure.. on the PC. I mean really, I just don't care to play any xbox games online.. I really truly don't. And to have to pay for online play is a joke sorry.
Other than online, is there any other justifiable reason to go live? I know you can download dlc and demos and $hit like that but this also applies not to me..
