Last Thursday, Sony announced a price rise for the PlayStation 5 in Europe, Japan, and other territories, sparking anticipation and concerns that other companies would follow suit. However, according ... Microsoft confirms has no plans increasing price of the Xbox Series S/X
Competition is always great for the consumer, now we just need to wait and see if it impacts on PS5 sales across those territories.
If it has an impact, it might not matter since PS5 has been sold out all the time, even now, half a year after the world got screwed up. That means Sony has been selling less units than they could have if they had got more production capability. So, if after the price increase the supply and demand actually get closer to each other, it's no loss for Sony. If the hit on demand will be more than expected and they start to accumulate unsold units, they can just drop the price to the original level.
This^^ As long as Sony continue to sell the console like crazy, they don`t have to worry about the prices of other consoles.
Time for PS5 slim? Cuz that pos is very badly designed for repairability and head management. I've seen some repair videos on youtube and it's a dust hair magnet too. If they make a slim version and reduce the box size, shipping costs will drop massively.
Good to know! Xbox is my favorite control platform mainly because the consoles can do useful things outside of gaming. I can run Kodi and even Moonlight it seems. Apparently PS5 can't even open a web browser without some trick?
