Micron is developing 21Gbps and 24Gbps GDDR6X memory chips.

Shame nvidia isnt utilizing 512 bit bus that would be effectively 1.5tb bandwidth.

 

Already got GDDR6X Micron in my RTX 3090ti

Micron began production of gddr6x months ago.

apparently Videocardz didn't know of the 3090ti or the production window for Lovelace.
if they "just began production" Lovelace wouldn't be ready until spring.

 

Videocards only wrote about 24Gb being new, for some reason this turned into 21Gb also being new over here. Someones been rushing news.

 

Ill take a 7800xt with this.

 

Didn't Samsung VRAM chips always OC better than Micron chips? Or is that a thing of the past?

 

I remember that back in the gddr5 days I think the Samsung chips were better overclockers but ran hotter as well

 

For DDR4 yes, Samsung B-die ruled. But Micron is supposed to be king at this stage for DDR5. Have no clues about GDDR6 though.
