My Asus bios has this microcode updation as an option.
Anyone know exactly what this is/does? Its a CPU config option but beyond that im stumped and would like to learn.

It means that your motherboard will be able to support new model CPU's through a microcode update to your BIOS.

So if a new AMD CPU model comes out it will be recognised correctly and fully supported by your motherboard.

Found this after a google search.

I Disabled this in BIOS today.
In horror my PC would not load windows at all, not even BIOS screen.
Ended up press the MEM TEST Ok button on mobo.

I dont know what on earth happened before hand. Aint had a serious prob for years with my PC/PC's.

Turn it back on and it should return to normal.
