How do you turn off AA? Is it the ingame AAA setting or do you turn it off from the Nvidia control panel? Are there any new .ini tweaks out there?

Advanced physix makes the game unplayable probably runs at 2-3 FPS!!

Well I tend to get annoyed if I can't max out the game settings at the resolution I play it because it means I cannot play the game looking at its best. As soon as games start appearing that force me to lower the settings to get a playable framerate then I know it's time to upgrade my graphics card.

Metro 2033 runs on an Xbox 360 and so people expect to be able to run the game on maximum settings with ease because that is what we have been able to do with most multiformat games that were led on the consoles. That people can't is the reason, I'm guessing anyway, why they're disappointed.

not here, i lost around 5 fps with advanced physix on, but i couldn't see any difference..

anyway my rig runs it pretty well 1680x1050, AF16x, AAA, HIGH 30-45 fps..

i want to say this, i have the 360 version and the pc version, the difference is huge, pc version looks way better, better shadows, better textures, better effects+dx11 effects..

Of course, it does, I never said it didn't.

All I'm saying is that people's expectation of multiformat games on the PC these days are that they should easily be able to run them on maximum settings at high resolution and with AA if the games are available on the 360 and/or PS3 too. If they can't then they feel cheated, particularly when the 360 version is being hailed as one of the best looking games to date on the system.

Still, kudos to the developers for enhancing the PC version beyond the consoles to give us more eye candy because these days it is the exception unfortunately rather than the rule.

This game is such bull****. Pitfalls here, pitfalls there, enemies here and over there, AND IT'S COMPLETELY DARK. I fall into one and have to listen to some commie's blabbering for 5 mins again.

    Kingdom for a quicksave function!

well people on PC run it in DX 10 or 11, while xbox uses DX 9 and toned down settings, of course it would be more faster

Trying the game out now. After some comments here saying its the best thing ever in motion, I expected lots. Unfortunately, I don't think I can share the same opinion.

IMO, Crysis still looks much much better. Performance wasn't much of an issue for me unless I went the V.High route at my monitor's native of 1680x1050. I could game using max settings (no MSAA of course) at 1440x900 but for some reason, the game looks very muddy at lower resolutions compared to other games (particles and other effects look dithered and models are blurry). One thing I do like is that lower settings don't look like crap lol, so that's a plus for people with slower rigs.

BTW, I noticed that some textures in signs and stuff would sometimes turn to very low quality as I walk away from them. Its looks like some bad LOD system, but I don't know because the textures sometimes switch back and forth between low and high res at different distances. Anyone encounter the same thing?

Do you have a Nvidia GPU for PhysX ?

If not something is wrong then as :

    1) Your GPU does not support PhysX

    2) Your CPU would not run it the same as it ain't strong enough.

Oh for ****s sake, the commie/nazi places are goddamn annoying. I didn't have nowhere near the amount of money to buy the nightvision goggles, and now I'm walking in the dark with 100 enemies around me. ****ing annoying.... Anyone at that point? Any tips? I'm where the nazis have that cart with a machinegun going back and forth and keep getting killed by it :|
