It seems that my Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-800s have died, or some of them have, I had them at 900MHz since my CPU was overclocked and I couldn't use a lower ratio. I was looking at getting some 1066 Pieces, but I do not know if it or not, if I should see if I can fiddle fart with my current pieces or just get knew ones due to the intensive research I put into these about 2 years ago. I was looking at the OCZ ones on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227298 for the good price + rebate, but I also found some on ebay such as G.Skill Tridents and a different version of the OCZ I linked and instead of 2 modules it is 4. What do you guys think?
Well from personal experience my G.Skill DDR2-1066 modules work just fine, in fact WEI gave them a 7.4 as oppossed to previous OCZ DDR2-800 which got a 5.9, doesn't mean a whole lot really, but the point is DDR2-1066 is the closest thing to DDR3 frequencies for a DDR2 mobo, that is unless you have some rare DDR2-1200. Either way 1066 is great becuase you can usually get away with pretty tight timings.
I have that exact OCZ set , been running 1099mhz @1.9v (stock timings) for over a year now without a hiccup.
