"Preacher Story Trailer" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6o3EvvFdak&feature=plcp CG looks worse than the actual game at times...
i pre-ordered this game, maybe i'm an idiot, but the SP gameplay is looking good sofar. i hope the MP'er is good. it's got to be better than the COD franchise, right Black OP's 2 is a pass for me, MW3 is the LAST COD i ever buy....
MoH use to have an annual release... It's going back to that. EA's on a milking campaign of generic shooters. BF4 will be out next year and then another MoH after that.
Nothing idiotic about it. While from trailers the previous Medal of Honor looked like "just another modern war themed shooter"... the presentation, characters and stories showed it to be more. It's a fantastic game, with a strong emotional ending. And personally, it's been the only "modern war" themed shooter to actually nail it. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series opted for the Michael Bay style of doing everything big, flashy and dumb. Which made for empty gameplay with no substance. Battlefield 3 tried way too hard to be cinematic, that DICE forgot to make the single player fun, original and engaging. Instead they dropped a cliche, dull and tedious game. Danger Close found the right stride with the previous MoH title, and I'm hoping they are able to continue that same path with Warfighter.
looks good, but DAMN! only 8 maps... i was really hoping for more. last title only had 7 and got boring really quick and remember the lame dlc they through at us.... i just prey DC does a better job than dice did regarding dlc....
I thought they were showcasing some sort of coop against AI in that trailer, no? Quantity really was one of the main problems the "old" game had.
They don't include too many maps because they don't plan on their game to be played for a long period of time. If it would happen that the mp actually becomes popular they could always release map-packs. Other than that, game looks decent so far.
I quite enjoyed last one. Campaign was good! Even Mp was alright, there was no nonsense from CoD series. I am thinking about getting a copy, most likely PS3 tho as Origin wont work for me
The last two Medal of Honour games have been dreadfully uninspiring IMO, a desperate attempt by EA to cash in on the Call of Duty craze, so my expectations for this game are very, very low. At least, that way I cannot be disappointed by what comes out but it'll be designed for seven year old console hardware so it is never going to be anything special IMO. At the risk of sounding like a PC elitist, it seems like a lot of games lost what made them great in the first place once they started appearing on the consoles, e.g. Ghost Recon, Call of Duty, Medal of Honour, etc., etc. Their campaigns are dumbed down, graphically undernorished, linear, heavily-scripted and short and the multiplayer is premium DLC infested... these are all console hang overs IMO.
Have to agree with you there, especially second part. Like i said i did enjoy last MoH. I only payed £10 for it (new copy), so it was worth, however if i payed £45, i would have been a little pissed off! Will wait and see how it turns out!
First DLC announced, two (!) maps for $9.99... That is just wrong http://www.medalofhonor.com/blog/2012/09/zero-dark-thirty-map-pack
I'm certainly holding back a pre-order on this one. If they come up with another content-lacking title I'll be waiting for a sale and skip the multiplayer part. I guess I won't be able to convince any of my friends to buy another MoH for multiplayer anyhow
WHAAAT? OMG lol that's even worse tHan activision and cod. although the last MoH was great and underappreciated
Yes, but imagine how much game that would've been if it had been given twice as many multiplayer levels and maybe two more hours for the campaign. I really doubt they can establish anything with this franchise if they keep selling it in tiny pieces.
When companies realised they could make money on it that was the end of free DLC for most games. I don't mind paying for DLC when it's worth it, for me a couple of maps is not worth paying for.
