I bought this drive a few months ago now (7200rpm version) and it's everything I wanted. Insanely fast, incredibly quiet and smooth as a baby's smooth bits. And it was so damn cheap as well.
I highly recommend this particular drive. Having a 7200rpm as master rather than a 5400 drive makes a world of difference to your boot times and general performance. Great stuff.

I bought the 5400Rpm version of this HD along time ago and I completely agree, really cheap, quiet and good.

IBM's the best. . .hmmmm. 10,000 rpm 50 gig. Ahhhh.
Also, by the way, MAXTOR SUX. Just thought I'd throw that in there. They don't last as long as one would hope. They have a tendency of dyin' quicker than other brands.

This message was edited by ICPGr8Milenko on 05 Oct 2001 04:26 AM
