Maximum safe temp for 6800 ultra

    Just onderin the max safe temp for my 6800 ultra I got it yester day and have been playin doom 3 WOW it looks great @ 1600 x 1200 4aa 16af nealy all settins on high but i want to overclock to get that bit extra

    safe temp = the default 127 core slow down temp.

    anything above it it will throttle.

    I would say keep it under 85C at load and around 65C highest at idle. Mine idles at 52C and load at 65C. Before it use to be in the 70C's and it didn't run as smooth as now with better temperatures.

    i think he wants to know whats the max temp before the gpu burns..

    it wont as the card will start to throttle at arnd 80-90c
