I was wondering what all y'alls settings are on, both in game and out. i run max payne at 800x600 32bit color and i get pretty good frame rates but how are you guys running it faster at higher resolutions? my computer shouldnt be the problem.

This message was edited by raider599 on 02 Aug 2001 12:02 PM

If your not getting good framerates then it must be the processor. Which one do you have?

I have AMD 1 Gig T-Bird. When the Abit KR7 comes out, I'll get a 1.8 T-bird if it is released.

1.8 gig
256-384 MB DDR ram
ATI radeon or II (if Rad. II beats GF3/Ultra)

Tight aZZ!!!!!

no, my computer is fine, i have an athlon 1 gig. 256megs of ram and of course a radeon 64 ddr. i get good frame rates at 800x600 and most of the in game settings on high w/ a few at medium. i was just wondering if anybody is doing better than that on their radeon and if so why? (settings etc.)

I am running Max Payne @ 1600x1200, but it is without full screen anti alias.
My PC is:
Pentium 4 1.3Ghz (Does the 2Ghz chip work in the same slot?)
128MB RDRAM
ATI Radeon 64MB DDR Vivo

The "showFPS" command doesn't seem to work for me, where is the number supposed to be?
It gets good frame rates @ 1600x1200, I'm guessing around probably 30-40.

i only have a 32mb DDR radeon. Maybe if i overclock then ill get more fps.
