I have been trying to get MP3 going for the last 2 days.I reinstalled it in Steam finally got signed in and then it says I need an Internet connection to activate err what? This is Steam how do you think I started the game??I only wanted to get back to finish it it can't be that hard. Verified game cache reinstalled etc just tells me I have no connection so anyone got it going in 8.1?
I completed it recently on win8.1. It's probably the social club causing problems. Have you made an account?
Yeah I have one and actually logged in but then it just sits there with the connection message.Tried logging into the social club web site and MP is there.Not sure what the activation crap is?
I had the same problem awhile back (win8.1 as well) and it was something to do with rockstar on their side. I just had to wait it out until they fixed it. iirc it was when gtav came out and their servers were slammed. Hopefully they resolve this quickly.
works here too, but 90% of the time there is a small glitch when you logon, when it shows it connected to social club open its tab and then close it, now it should continue into game title. If it doesnt try to enter the key ingame in social club - somewhere by your profile.
Yeah I tried closing that and then all I have is the black screen with the connection message lol.I said screw it I'm reinstalling it again and see if it helps.
The funny thing was when I first started it up under 8.1 after not playing it since 7 it started and got to the game just fine except the mouse and keyboard didn't work.Tracked that down to a game pad I had plugged in trying it on something else earlier.I got the mouse working and then all this activation stuff started. smh
Yeah tried that as well and now seems to have degraded to stuck on initializing.Re-downloaded ,verified game files I guess I'll have to give up on it.
Ok gave it one more shot was stuck until I signed out of Social Club and resigned in then I could link and activate.Why when I was signed in it wouldn't let me I have no idea.Social Club is a blight but I can now play the game.
Yeah that was a valid thought for sure but it all stemmed from Social Club crap.Game said I was signed in and I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't let me do anything else.Finally signing out and signing back in and I was presented with the link account to Steam dialogue and away it went.I had to link a couple more times starting the game but it did it.
