Bought MP2 of GreenMan Gaming for $8 but I cant find a way to fix the aspect ratio, I'm running a 16:9 monitor 1080p downsampled to 2560x1440 and the only fix I could find is to change the DefaultFOV 70 in the MP2_Init.ras file to 85, but when I do this the game refuses to launch.

Any ideas would be awesome thanks.

Edit: Downsampled to 2460x1650, black bars on the side but it'll have to do for now.

Max payne 2 had problems with wide resolutions, and it's very hard (if not impossible) to achieve the correct result with acceptable FOV.

I toyed it around few years ago and cannot get it to work properly. Widescreen gaming forum has a lot of widescreen patches/solutions

to many older games and they didn't have one for Max payne 1 & 2 so i suppose there isn't a way around it. Btw, how did you 'downsample' the game?

Its not possible to fix FOV. I emailed the developers Remedy months ago they confirmed it would not be a simple fix either. Best solution is play with pillowboxing @ 4:3 aspect ration otherwise FOV is messed up badly. MarkusRMD is one of the original developers on this game so he should know!!

Remedy has also said it's out of their hands. Rockstar would have to give the okay to "fix" the game.
