That's actually pretty awesome although to be honest, i wonder what engine they'd use, since RAGE actually lends itself pretty well for that kind of gameplay. MP3 was loads of fun with its Euphoria ragdolls and whatnot, it's just that after hearing AY DIOS MIO 300 times got tiring real fast. Noire > Brasil, sorry.
Alan Wake 2 now this, nice. Im glad Remedy games are getting such attention. Gonna replay Control these days.
Heh, see I got Control for free with one of the giveaways and I can say it feels so old school that it was genuinely enjoyable for me. Graphics wise, it's not that much of a burner but reasonably good looking. Really liked the setting, and now I wonder if I should play Alan wake Really would like to see the Max Payne games remade. 3 as well if they're already going at it.
Shame it's probably gonna be limited to the shitty rockstar launcher, big pass then since the original games work just fine.
Man, I LOVE all of it. First Control, then announced AW2, now BOTH Max Payne being remade and with no other than their inhouse engine. I can't wait.
Honestly, the way remakes/remasters have turned out the past 2-3 years... This is a wait and see one for me. I only trust Nightdive Studios at this point.
I would be werry if it was Rockstar alone doing it. This is Remedy we are talking about and they have basically infinite money for making it. (As it's funded by Rockstar) and full creative control over it. Also, I HIGHLY doubt they would crap on their own legacy, specially with Sam Lake at the helm of things.
Would have rather seen a remaster to be honest, then again i personally don't even need one. Lately i'm getting more and more drawn to 90s graphics, and playing through old classics. Guess a remake is nice for those that want fancy visuals. It's something i don't care about.
I agree to a point. Well done remakes also bring QoL improvemets, cut content, extended story plus, it will feel like playing the game for the first time ever.
I remember i was so taken with max payne 1 and 2 that i installed them at the desktop which was at work, and played them there even....that s how good those games were
They still hold up remarkably well. But can't wait to see how they look on a modern engine and the graphics updated
The second one still looks good by todays standards but the first one could use an overhaul for sure. I also agree that remasters would be better since both would then have the same level of quality.
