Rockstar Games, the owner of the Max Payne intellectual property, and Remedy Entertainment have announced a new development partnership to create a single title titled Max Payne 1&2 for the PlaySt... Max Payne 1&2 remake project announced
Great news! Loved The Fall of Max Payne with the neo-noir atmosphere, the story, the music and everything. Looking forward to see the new version.
Great games with an amazing story filled with action. Update their graphics to modern standards and you have a win.
Cool, they're such great games, but I would prefer if the first one worked on Win10. I have a CD with perfect Brazilian Portuguese voices and text, much better than the English version.
The problem with remakes is that you expect the game to be the same but it's not. I had this problem with the Mafia remake. Great game by its self but it just didn't feel enough like the original to fill my nostalgia hole.
I really think story will be heavily edited. Because Max Payne story really was "Maximum Pain". No chance they will tell it again.
The original game works just fine on Win 10 with some fan help, it even supports widescreen without HUD stretching after patching it up. https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Max_Payne
As much as I enjoyed 1 & 2, they are too old to be remade. Unless completely remade from the ground up, incl gameplay, dialogue, combat (no zero recoil weapons) and up to 2022 standards.
Definite pass for me, I played them back in their day. And with the release of the old GTA's falling flat on their face, definitely gonna pass.
nothing wrong with asdw moving and mouse aiming, it is superior then controller aiming. I have play both games on pc and consoles and PC contols are way better aka kb and mouse. there is argument for moving the character on controller is better, but that is about it. aim on controllers is terrible even with "auto" aim most console game use and it still is to this day in comparison as for "remake" i do not think it need to be done, but it seem be what happens these days, much like hollywood and there "remakes"
