http://www.newscientist.com/article...covered-towards-earths-core.html#.U5sLk9vfrqC So.. any politician ever states something about water shortages... you can tell them to f off.(tongue in cheek comment)
Someone will do the impossible and find a way to drill down there or something. We enjoy ****ing up the planet so ya.
Well that won't happen for quite some time, as the deepest hole humans ever drilled was 12.2km deep and this water is 700km deep The water will be safe for many generations
The greedy corporations of 2077 will surely exploit this resource to great profit (Though it isn't an ocean but water stuck in a ****ton of ringwoodite)
subterranean whales If I read it right, it's in the form of this stuff: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringwoodite I wonder if any other planets in our solar system have the same or what.
It makes me wonder about the meteor that brought water to planet earth theory. Did it ? Or was it already there ? Is this abundant ?
Yep. I'm just waiting until they find an oil reservoir that deep. Bet you they'll get that stuff drilled...
I don't why you guys are on about them drilling this **** up for profit- it's 700 kilometres/434.960 miles down there. Compared to one of the deepest drills so far, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kola_Superdeep_Borehole which are only around 40,000 feet (12 kilometers/7-8 miles) Then once you have it, the hell are you going to do with it?
Guys cmon, drilling would be too slow. FULMTL was talking about Pacific Rim, but I had a better idea... the Kamehameha. I will try to patent it before Apple does. I will be releasing a website where people can register for a small fee and become kamehameha practitioner. By registering, you get a license.
I dunno... its water? The hell are you going to do with water? That thing is useless. I would totally go fill a few bottles of water.
Why drill some 400 miles down to get water when you can filter what is already at the surface? This isn't the same as drilling for a water well.
That water is special, it tastes very good. and it rings like light wood. The water on the surface doesnt do such thing.
