some content from those two is still missing in that video, it's not all of it. replay the game and find everything its not much but still worth it.
fans (me included) might wait a little longer.. so i guess im gonna keep playing my 2020 save. source looks reliable, EA\Bioware didn't confirm or deny. https://venturebeat.com/2020/09/25/mass-effect-legendary-edition-is-still-coming-but-not-this-year/
Apparently the trilogy remaster is going to be announced today BioWare expected to announce the Mass Effect trilogy remaster today
yeah, guess we already knew it but now it's official for the first half of 2021. https://blog.bioware.com/2020/11/07/happy-n7-day-4/
"BioWare has been hard at work updating the textures, shaders, models, effects, and technical features of three enormous games. Our goal was not to remake or reimagine the original games" Well... Having all the DLC content collected and preinstalled might be the only nice thing IMO. If you own the games on PC, the modding community has offered the remaster experience for a quite a while.
D3D11 over D3D9 could be a benefit for various reasons though it will break the fancy texture mods which I expect will still have a possible edge over what this might have. I assume this is also re-releasing and reworking the existing games not a re-making on some bigger scale like getting it on Unreal Engine 4 getting that aging UE3 code out and modernizing it extensively but that'd be a much more complex process. Course Mass Effect 1's UE3 build is old so I have no idea what's going to happen there they all kinda are but more so for the very first game in particular.
Spring 2021 is really soon, that's a bit of surprise. I really thought it would be later, but I guess it also depends on the scale of changes. If it's just higher resolution textures, I guess it can be done pretty quickly.
ME2 and ME3 are pretty close to each other gameplay wise, but can they maintain old and clunky ME1 gameplay in this legendary edition? I guess they have to re-work it...
@JonasBeckman And what if DX12?... PS I love ALOT and ALOV mods for all 3 games - but they are just textures and videos.
I was so confused because of the date this was posted... but then realized it's unlisted. "Veteran" ? . . . really? . . . at Bioware? Did they rehire everyone who left?
