She was famous for something and I have no idea what but rest now!
She was a UK Prime Minister, probably one of the most hated women ever.
No ill talk about the dead, please!
best close this thread then...... she took my milk off me in the 80's, i got to see the demise of so many pit villages and families livelihood ruined because of her decisions........
she has friends and family and for those I say RIP and show respects but as far as that woman goes this has been a long day coming.......
Prime minister during the 80s mainly. Famous for the Falklands War where we whooped the Argentinians.
Quite possibly, though that depends on your political alignment.
You don't know the full of her sins.
Little before my time, but you are right.
Look guys, I really don't care actually. I'm not religious person so give here the hell, it's whatever to me
A handy website that's been keeping track of her for a while.
yeah...back then there were plenty of jobs to choose from...i suppose that wasnt her fault...RIP Maggie
Her name was sealed in history after she ordered the Falklands Islands invasion in 1982.
If you have no idea who this person is, and in fact don't really care, then why are you opening a RIP thread? Seems a bit pointless and stupid to me... :3eyes:
Yep that's just weird.
Agree she did nothing that was anygood for this country tbh, If anything she opened the floodgates to Immigration and gave people from other countries more than people who actually came from here, She also invented Poll Tax/Council tax hence the notorious Riots at the time.
She will not be missed by the majority, the real people of the country not those toffee nose bastards that sit in parliament living a high life, not seeing how the real people of the country have to live.
Dont forget the Iranian Embassy siege in 1980 were the SAS stormed it and all terrorists ended up on the Slab apart from 1 who escaped out the windows but was then sent to jail were he still is to this day.
I Rate here for how she deployed the SAS in the siege, i was only 5 years old but i remember it very clearly at the time.
However RIP to Mrs Thatcher and may others learn from your many mistakes that you made in running Parliament.
^And poll tax lol
I'm tempted to post a youtube video of a certain song sung by the munchkins from The Wizard of Oz but this isn't the place. She's gone forever and can't do any more harm.
My sympathies for her family. May she rest in peace.
Yep I hope she rots in hell for what she put my family and millions of others through as well.
I love watching the news here and there are people praising her for what she did. All she did was start a war in a country claiming it to be ours when its nearly 6,000 miles away if not more. She closed down all the mines, putting thousands out of work and forcing families to leave their homes. She invented a new "tax" the poll tax which was and probably still is the most hated tax ever invented (next to the window tax but that never saw the light of day thank god). She changed the laws to workers unions basically taking away their power of enforcement, so they could do nothing when the mines shut. She also stole all the milk out of schools in the country which was quickly put back in by the next prime minister.
SHE WAS A FAILURE, A COMPLETE AND UTTER DISGRACE TO THE FEMALE SEX!!
airbud gets a World History Lesson as I read the comments...
Ding dong the witch is dead
Is that ironic or serious?
Most of the complaints are about :
- Taxed for being alive (poll tax).
- Fighting with a country half way around the world to have an island off of its' coast as a colonial asset.
Doesn't really ring like 'fighting for freedom'.
But I guess the Falkland part is excusable, given that the foreign immigrants (the British) had amassed such a large population on the islands that they basically were the entire population... at which point it's reasonable to say that the island is not Argentinean by culture/ethnicity of the residents.
This fits well here :
