Hello, I have found a problem with manual adjustment of the fan in:
Hardware -> Overclocking Settings... -> Fan

When I click "Manual Speed (x)" and adjust the number, nothing happens. And when I click apply, then it's reset to "Automatic depended on temperature".
I have also tried to check the "include in profile" checkbox, the same thing happens.

    Hardware:
    AMD phenom II X4 945
    MSI DKA790GX
    Sapphire HD5850 1GB

    Software:
    Windows XP sp3
    Catalyst 9.12
ATI Tray Tools 1.6.9.1464 (same issue with 1.6.9.1451)

Thanks for any help with this awesome program!

A bit of a same problem here, I have 2d profile with auto fan speed, and 3d profile with 45% fan speed, when I switch from 2d to 3d, I have to load the 3d profile twice, because on the first time it will stay on auto, once I click it again the fan rises to 45%....
    HD5870 here with W7.

Same here. No problems on my system (just tested it twice), although I don't include FAN speed in profiles anymore for HD 5870. Its silent even under heavy load .

But will test it today evening again with different profiles and under different conditions. ATT set FAN speed thought Catalyst, not directly , so if something went wrong I can hardly find the case.

Maybe this image can help as a hint:
This happens when I try to create a clock+fan profile, without hitting apply(reset).
In the image you can see numbers in front of C, but F has no numbers in front of it.

Are these profiles stored as text files somewhere? Perhaps I could try to edit the textfile and see what happens.

    Always hit apply

Only clocks are displayed. No numbers for Fan

    Profile are stored in registry

Thanks, I tried to play around with it a little bit to set
    IncludeFan to 0x00000001(1)
    FanMode to 0x00000001(1)
    FanSpeed to 0x00000032(50)
    Unfortunately, no luck.

I also tried to test Display Drivers 9.11 and 9.10 with ATT, but no luck here either. Only Catalyst Control Center Overdrive managed to force the fanspeed manually.

But, oh well, this is just another reason for me to switch to windows 7 soon. Thanks for trying to help!
