    It's not that i didn't like Mafia II and III but none of them had the same impact like Mafia I had. A remastered version of Mafia I would bee a good addition if not the better choice.

    This. Also who wants remaster from Mafia 3? It's only 4 years old and shittiest of the serie.

    Got a bit of whiplash from reading an article on Mafia II and III and suddenly they're talking SNK Gals’ Fighters? :D

    Yeah the Gematsu article initially had two Switch announcements in a single article and then ratings for the PS4, XBox and PC made for a second article that made it a bit less "Well that's quite a crossover ain't it?" ha ha.
    Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 not sure what could be done short of bundling the existing content but I guess bug fixes particularly for Mafia 3 could be most useful although perhaps not full-price retail pricing but considering the Switch platform popped up that and the PS4 Pro and XBox One X maybe at scaling or lower-framerate 4k mode could also be a target with PC added in as well.

    Liked the story of Mafia 3 and it's presentation but the gameplay delved into padding after a more narrative focused first chapter doing similar actions getting to the next story bit though the characters were neat even if it felt like a slog at times.

    Donovan from Mafia 3 and then Joe from Mafia 2 though it seems I've forgotten a few things from that game.
    (It had a neat little time skip but they also pull a few more modern cars although the original game did that same thing too.)

    EDIT: Think Mafia 2 also, for a time, set the world record for most F-bombs in a video game at around 800 or so...Joe being responsible for almost half of them. :D
    (So this is Vito and the story around him and the mob...nah I'm just going to remember his friend instead ha ha.)

    I loved one and two, have III but never played it past the first bit with the guard.

    Give us a remaster of the first game as everything about it was awesome.

    Mafia I still holds dear to my heart. I was a kid when I played it and loved the mood and how the game teleported me back to a different era.
    The second game still had the same effect, but heavily disappointed me with the ending. Still, was a great game.
    Last game was dog piss: poor story, poor emersion, poor performance, poor visuals, I saw no value in it just another shoot them up.

    How is this related in the article

    ```
    SNK Gals’ Fighters is a 2D fighting game featuring female characters from various SNK franchises that first launched for Neo Geo Pocket Color in January 2000. Pre-orders for the Switch version of Samurai Shodown included the Neo Geo Pocket game Samurai Shodown! 2, so it is possible that the upcoming Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection includes SNK Gals’ Fighters as a bonus.
    Mafia 1 would be harder to remaster, hence why they are not doing it, even though its the more logical choice as its older and the best in the series.
    Mafia 1 is much more difficult, it even has a story, better music a.s.o.. Thats why they remaster part 2 and 3. :eek::D
    I'm a huge Mafia fan so this is kind of exciting!
    Mafia 1 was a masterpiece and the first game where I was so immersed in it, that I actually thought I was in a movie. It's unbelievable that it's been 19 years since release, and I remember vividly how I completed that parking lot DEMO like 100 times, before I finally got the full game. Lost count how many times I finished it.
    Mafia 2 - awesome, it was one of the first games that I got on Steam, and I'm pretty sure it was THE FIRST game I owned on what has become my "official" Steam account. As for physix, I was one of those weirdos that actually ran a secondary GPU for a while for Mafia 2 and Borderlands 2... so it was a treat. Even for today's standards, Mafia 2 still looks more than presentable - a remaster, a proper one, wouldn't have that much work cut out for it.
    Mafia 3 however, I bashed that one since announcement, and I only got around actually playing it less than a week ago. Needless to say, I already have 60 hours played! :eek: So, while I did stumble through a ton of bugs, 4 years after release, at its core, it's not a bad game. It just feels extremely polished at times (cutscenes and story) and extremely rushed at others (gameplay and district system). I will eat my hate and admit that I was wrong, however, it still is the weakest of the 3 and ironically the MOST in need of a remaster. There are so many comical bugs left, that even just fixing those and not adding anything will be a big upgrade!
    In any case, I look forward to it, as I was going to replay Mafia 2 anyway. Now I'll hold back on that, maybe replay 1 for the x'd time and then go through both 2 and 3 remaster - IF it's done right that is...
    Mafia 2 was so short, remastering it would be a piece of cake.
