Huh, so performance is ok now, good to know damien.

Crazy that this was rolled out in days from release because it got such negative flak from it, why not just delay it?

Bah, settings you using?

Any big fps killer settings you can lower to 60?

 

1080p everything high, except blur off.

Trying with the settings,..Lowering almost everything to medium and dof off gives 50 ish. AA high -> medium gives 4fps, volumetric effects gives 6fps

Ok, lol...once i choose the high preset and get back into game, i get around 45fps... :bang: Prev. it was the same "everything high" only it was a custom preset.
Guess you need to do this maybe once..dunno what happend there..

 

Lower reflections, apparently they're the biggest hit of fps at the mo.

Also, why is the protagonist 7 foot tall or all the other ingame character only 5ft? Hes also the only jacked character. Its like this game was made by a bunch of nu-age white men who like to pay to watch black men to F their white wives who havent agreed to it.

 

Hm refelctions not giving me much fps, maybe depends where you are. I was at the junk yard, nothing much there to reflect i guess. ^^

yeah this looks indeed very very bad. Game doesn't even look all that good. To justify this kind of performance at the very least.

 

lol not even 50fps at 1440p with a 1080? And no sli support?

Maybe these "devs" should learn a trick or two from Rockstar on how to optimize a game.

 

Its crashing for a lot of people now since the patch who didnt have crashes before, like me.
If you set your fps to 30 (again) crashes stop...so yeah, nice...exactly the same thing which happend with the "unlock-fps-fix" yesterday. Only that its crashing now after ~30 minutes and with the fix after a few minutes.

 

What happened to PC gaming in the last few months?

This game is a total mess in almost every aspect. This time there is no patch that could fix this sh*t. Played for 2h and I wanto to die...Graphic is awful but the gameplay is even worse!

What? A bunch of white lead devs and directors making a game about diversity is laughable as it is...

But look at the size of the main character vs every other character in game. Hes like a foot or two larger than everyone else. Its like GTAIV with the hulk mod.

oh wow:heh: comparing to this even Arkham Knight looked polished on release. It blows my mind that someone thought it was OK to ship a game in this state.

 

weird ive played for nearly 6 hours havent noticed any bugs or glitches and the 30fps cap is fine if your playing on a TV with a controller.

No stuttering at all.

The gameplay is repetitive sure, but those cut scenes are simply amazing both FMV and in game they are where they spent most their time. The voice acting is great but that lip syncing is something else!

Its a decent game that does need ironing out here and there, the color palette looks like a washed up old turd tbh. Made me think my TV was messed up and I started playing with the settings thinking something isn't right lol

 

applying a lower or higher res doesn't change the window size , only effects the internal res , i can play 1440p with a 4k windows meaning that my display is thinking i play at 4k rather than 1440p

I was looking forward to this.

30 FPS cap aside, I have some Q's for people have been playing Mafia 3 a bit.

Does this game include the same things that turned me off of Mafia 2?

-Is there too much driving, not enough action?
-During action, is there too much fist-fighting, not enough gunplay?
-Is the "open-world" essentially a lifeless shell, only there as background to drive by?
-Is it hours of repetitive missions, followed by a movie cutscene?
