I've got a problem: I've put the full tuning mod but the game says the DLC is installed but not purchased... Is there some way to fix this issue?
Hey thanks for the mods! Question: In some cases you make it clear that the file should be placed in the destination folder and replace the original. In other cases, such as "Police Package " you instruct to place the FOLDER in the destination folder. Do you really mean that? There are a lot of files in the original folder that do not exist in the modded folder. Shouldn't we always places the CONTENTS into the destination folder (except for the DLC pack)? Thanks again
Open the content file and copy the info over in what I mentioned briefly on the previous page, that is copy/paste the info from it to another DLC file which you own, I'm not fully certain which DLC this mod is based on (Vegas Pack I think.) which means it won't work unless you own that. (Or copy the unlock data from the file "content" to unlock it via a DLC you own.)
I just finished the game, and i gotta say, i loved it, enjoyed every moment of it, i take back my 8 score, i would give this game a 9.5. The people who scored this game so low must have been on crack.
For me the textures mod makes the ground look in dire need of extreme AA (while moving) so I'm not gonna use it. Everything else is fine.
Sharpening current textures or using similar resolution replacements and "enhancing" those that way probably, makes things a bit "flickery" and contrasted if used alongside AA or modern SSAA methods which also sharpens textures somewhat, I don't like this method myself though so I might be a bit biased about it. (Similar to setting a negative mipmap bias via tweaks to certain games or driver related settings for the GPU directly.)
Mmmh... Can you send me your "content" file? I own the CE with the Made Man pack, I pasted the info but it doesn't work... I'm in the forties, maybe it'll work just in in the fifties??
I was just about to edit the post, I just remembered that you only have access to the basics of car customization that early in the game. (Rims - whatever they affect, later ones are more expensive and goes from basic to chrome to custom, colors, mostly just more colorful variations and just tuning, level 2 and 3 specifically or silver and gold with this, unsure about paints or rather hood side decorations/flames but I guess it affects those as well.)
I dont know if it matters but I used the word "package" only once at the end of the contents file and it works (I see you have it there twice...). </Content> <Content Name="Suit3" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITSUIT_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">3</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Suit4" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITSUIT_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">4</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Charger" Type="Car_Charger"> </Content> <Content Name="Painting" Type="Car_Painting"> </Content> </Package>
So I thought right, in fact some things are missing in the first part of the game... Anyway, my content file now looks like this: Code: <Package Name="Made Man Pack" Order="50140" Version="1" Id="50140" NameTdbId="64020203" BuildVersion="crypt1" BuildInfo="GE 24456 SDS 65697 - build date Wednesday, August 18, 2010 2:19 PM"> <Mounts> <Mount> <Src>/sds/cars</Src> <Dst>/sds/cars</Dst> <Files> <File Name="/trautenberg_grande.sds" /> <File Name="/trautenberg_grande_z.sds" /> <File Name="/roller.sds" /> <File Name="/roller_z.sds" /> </Files> </Mount> <Mount> <Src>/sds/player</Src> <Dst>/sds/player</Dst> <Files> <File Name="/vittux.sds" /> <File Name="/vitsuit.sds" /> </Files> </Mount> <Mount> <Src>/sds/wardrobe</Src> <Dst>/sds/wardrobe</Dst> <Files> <File Name="/vittux_coat.sds" /> <File Name="/vitsuit_coat.sds" /> </Files> </Mount> <Mount> <Src>/sds/gui</Src> <Dst>/sds/gui</Dst> <Files /> </Mount> </Mounts> <Content Name="Trautenberg_Grande" Type="Car"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">Trautenberg_Grande</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Roller" Type="Car"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">Roller</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Smoking0" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITTUX_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">0</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Smoking1" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITTUX_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">1</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Smoking2" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITTUX_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">2</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Smoking3" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITTUX_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">3</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Smoking4" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITTUX_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">4</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Suit0" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITSUIT_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">0</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Suit1" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITSUIT_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">1</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Suit2" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITSUIT_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">2</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Suit3" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITSUIT_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">3</Param> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Suit4" Type="Suit"> <Params> <Param Name="ModelName">VITSUIT_COAT</Param> <Param Name="ColorId">4</Param> </Params> </Content> </Package> </Params> </Content> <Content Name="Charger" Type="Car_Charger"> </Content> <Content Name="Painting" Type="Car_Painting"> </Content> </Package> </Package> Is that right?
