    hi guys,

i have a problem getting MadVR to work with mpc-hc. I downloaded MadVR and ran the install.bat as instruced, but the madvr option in MPC-HC stays greyed out.
I tried uninstalling both mpc-hc and madvr and rebooting inbetween, but that doesn't seem to help.

    Any ideas?

Don't right click the install.bat and "run as admin". Instead, double click the install.bat and when the prompt comes up to give access (yes/no), click yes and it will install.

    The Readme instructions are wrong.

Do it for both the install.bat in the regular folder and the "madTestPatternSource" folder.

Make sure that all your video process are closed during this.

Restart your computer and try it all again.

P.S.- Did you move your folder to a place like "program files", etc?

    Ok, just tried again:
Restart computer - ran uninstall.bat from both madvr and madTestPatternSource - uninstall mpc-hc - move madvr folder to C:\Program Files - reboot - install mpc-hc - reboot - run install.bat for madvr - reboot - run install.bat for madTestPatternSource - reboot.

Still no dice. Madvr is still greyed out.

    Ok, try this.

Run the uninstall.bat and then reinstall using the install.bat .

I think I know. You need the x86 version of MPC-HC, x64 is not compatible with it. It will install but you will not see the option.
