    Hello,

I bought my Samsung 970 evo plus in July 2019, and after exactly two years, S.M.A.R.T says remaining lifetime 95%.
5% used in two years, is this normal..???
At what percentage will the performance of the drive start to degrade..???

Years ago the endurance test gave Samsung 840 pro SATA SSD life expectancy of 2.4PB. The performance didn't degrade, reallocated sectors began to grow from about 700 TB. My 2014 Samsung has 42 TB written and the condition shows 84%. Probably it gets tossed before even down to 70%. I suppose the recent drives are much more tolerant.

Yes, and a quite pessimistic guess. Their given figures for endurance are low. 840 Pro had 73 TBW (!) and could handle 2.4 PB! 970 Evo Plus has 150/300/600/1200 depending on the size.
