    WOW!!

260W draw and they say it was no problem for PCIe!

also the results... yeah pretty high potential. can't wait for aib.

i am so torn apart wether to go all in for it, or wait for october.

and i just see that the GPU score is actually the same as my 270x cfx number.

All this to get to air-cooled GTX 970 ACX perf??

1.35 volts and put the power target at 300%.
For use only came a GPU-only water cooling block of Raijintek Co. Ltd.
power consumption is in this constellation at about 260 watts.
The voltage converter so exposed were only cooled with a fan and under load, the temperature was acceptable 105 ° C.

    what's so great about it?

What is an "LQ" version of the card? Low Quality or some AIB only in Europe? Anyway, if they had to go to such extreme measures to hit 1500MHz that means cards from Saphire and the like will not get near that? Sad to hear, because I'm trying my hardest to stick with AMD this time around.........but those used 980Ti's for ~$350 are calling my 1440p/60 name.

I have been a fan of amd graphics cards for a VERY long time, I can't remember a time when I didn't have an AMD card. But...I'm glad that I went with NVIDIA this time and got 2 x asus 1080 strix cards. Performance is AMAZING @4K with g-sync compatible monitor! Never drops below 60fps.

    AMD have lost my vote.

OMG 1.35v! Like the guy said at the end of the you tube clip, don't expect much from AIB's either. Oh well guess wait to see how Vega performs.

That is some nice 970. I saw 980 @ 1548mhz getting roughly the same score as the 1500mhz rx 480. Differences are not that big in fire strike I guess.

It is in the end a good score. 970's just at times clock high af. The score is better then Fury stock, Nano stock, 980 stock it gets close to Fury X and 980 ti stock in the end also (ok 1700 points is a huge lead).

But since this was never designed to run that fast it will eat a lot of power.

It's interesting that this card seems to have almost Maxwell levels of tessellation performance. I'll see his video now actually.

Hey, you just won an award! Congratulations! The category you were competing in was:

"Uselessly commenting dick swinging wanker in a budget GPU thread!".

Please see vbetts for the delivery details.

I saw the video. 1.4GHz looks like the normal OC number from a proper AIB. I'm surprisingly OK with that, although 1.5GHz would be nice.

Will see if the Sapphire NITRO will be able to reach 1400 MHz daily use with a 8-pin connector...
