    Hi,

Just switched from RX 570 4GB to GTX 1060 6GB and there is something that driving me nuts, For some reason the sound on my Xonar XD sound card is now low. Even the maximum sound is much lower than it used to be.

Any idea what can be done? Thanks!

What about the ohms settings in the Xonar drivers. My STX Xonar had it and it made a huge difference to volume. I had 600 ohm Headphones though.

Where are those settings? never heard of gain settings.

EDIT: Ok, found out through youtube what it is, but it doesn't show up on even when though headphones are selected. Odd.

nvidia has nothing to do with the volume of your xonar.

It's to do with the amp feeding the power for the headphone. It's in a the Gain settings. Try setting it from 64-300 and see how that goes for volume.

I think you might have moved the power supply of the Xonar when swapping the GPU. If it's not powered one internal amplifier stage goes offline. Try to make sure it's got power and it's priority connected.

Oh easily, happened to me numerous times when changing graphics card and my Audigy/2 stopped working properly.

gargar, take the sound card out of the slot and re-seat it and it'll be fine, most probably.

The latest stages get from the PSU, so that's 99% your issue there.
